Home Pet
Euthanasia

Saying goodbye is hard. We are here to help you through the process in the comfort and privacy of your home. We provide a peaceful pet euthanasia process for your dog or cat.

Our Careful Process

  1. One of our highly experienced doctors will visit your home and perform a Quality of Life Assessment on your pet, as well as answer any questions you may have during the visit. A highly skilled veterinary technician may accompany our doctor during this visit for assistance.

  2. After the consultation is completed, the doctor will administer an injectable sedative to ease any pain or discomfort your pet may be experiencing. Once your pet is feeling comfortable and you have given your final farewell to your pet, our doctor will administer the final injection.

  3. From there, we will allow you to have some final moments with your pet before we respectfully handle your pet’s remains.

Private vs Communal Cremation

Your pet has moved on, but will never be forgotten. When the time has come to say goodbye to your beloved pet, we will provide aftercare services.

Private cremation: You will receive the individual remains, along with a wooden engraved pawprint memorial keepsake. You will choose an urn for your beloved pet. We will call you when your pet’s remains are with us.

Communal cremation: You may receive our aftercare services with no remains returned. You will have the option to request a wooden engraved pawprint or noseprint as a memorial keepsake of your pet at the time of service.

We service the city of La Verne and local surrounding areas within 10 miles. An additional fee may apply if the distance is greater than a 10-mile radius.

These services are reserved for geriatric, deteriorating, or terminally ill patients. Call us for more information or to schedule a Quality of Life Consultation with one of our professional and courteous Veterinarians.

Payment is due at the time of service. Aggressive pets may be referred back to rDVM. If a cancellation occurs within less than 24 hours of the scheduled appointment, a cancellation fee of $75 may be applied.
